01 / GLASSY WORLD
Above the endless blue.
Glass towers rise above a city threaded with skyways, floating traffic and brilliant open skies.
A living virtual world of glass-bright cities, distant frontiers and ordinary lives unfolding beyond the screen.
NEXUS is a persistent virtual world layered over a separate modern reality. Each world has its own atmosphere, possibilities and everyday rhythms.
A futuristic fantasy environment of glassy towers, bridges, holograms, silent vehicles and lively markets. Floating homes, sky trains and enormous creatures moving through the sky are part of its ordinary wonder. Players explore, trade, train, meet others and build independent lives.
Beyond the city atmosphere lie forests, mountains, deserts, frozen lands, volcanoes, oceans and ancient ruins. The overworld is not itself a dungeon. Dungeons are separate portal-spaces with their own fantasy environments and ecosystems; not every creature is hostile.
Modern life continues separately from NEXUS. School, home, family, teachers and ordinary routines remain part of the wider story. NEXUS is popular, but it does not replace reality or make every person exceptional.
A transparent, one-person home chamber provides the contained space for entering the virtual experience.
Futuristic glass-like eyeglasses form part of the equipment used for NEXUS immersion.
A full-body immersion suit supports physical sensation and configurable pain within the virtual experience.
